Minervois Rouge Aveoline Rouanet Montelebre

A hand made, serious, organic Minervois produced by the wonderful Jey Rouanet , in a "bee friendly " manner to protect the local bee population.

Jey  produces wines carefully and sensitively in very small quantities from the families premium site. The vines produce a tiny 25 hectolitres per hectare of intense juice, resulting in only 5000 bottle per vintage .

The Syrah and Grenache vines and fermented in concrete tanks , slowly releasing their complex aromas of violet , black pepper, dark fruits and heather, This is a wine of real concentration and complexity showcasing the minerality of the soils and the intense fruits thy develop.

Expect plum, blackcurrant , garrigue, and layers of mineral complexities.

A wine to savour with Porcini mushrooms , beef steak and hard cheeses.
